IN SSTA Taxability Matrix PDF Print E-mail

The state of Indiana became a full member of Streamlined Sales Tax on October 1st, 2005. The current state sales tax rate is 7.0% and Indiana has no local sales taxes. The Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board, composed of member and associate member participating states, works to assist the states in the administration of the Streamlined Sales Tax Act. Indiana's Taxability Matrix indicates the tax treatment of each administrative definition in the Act (e.g. "sales price", "delivery charges for direct mail", "compuer software maintenance contracts"). Click here for the Taxability Matrix, updated as of July, 2009.
