Bring Dead Customers Back to Life Galley Proof Oct. 20, 2008
Are you looking for new business? Here are five easy ways to rejuvenate dead customers.
Invite them to a lunch-and-learn event on a hot industry topic. It’s a nice way to remind people you exist and provide value at the same time.
Send a letter telling them what’s new at your company and how they benefit. Follow the letter up with a call.
Send a $5 Starbucks gift card in the mail. Invite them to meet for a cup of coffee and catch up.
Send an invitation to connect on LinkedIn, Plaxo or one of the many other business contact platforms. If they agree, the door opens for fresh conversation.
Call and ask for advice in an area relevant to their expertise. Everyone feels good when they’re asked for an opinion, so this is a low-key way to open a dialogue.
Dead customers often come back to life. Make a list. Make a plan. Take action.
