Active - Any company or individual proprietor with a manufacturing facility engaged primarily in operations in the nature of bookbinding and finishing services, including mailing and fulfillment activities, the majority of whose services are performed for other companies, shall be eligible for active membership, provided that it is, or offers to become a member of Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association.

Associate - Any company or individual proprietor who is actively engaged in the manufacture or sale of materials or supplies generally used by firms in the bookbinding, finishing and mailing and fulfillment industries, shall be eligible for associate membership, provided that it is, or offers to become a member of Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association.

Membership in the GFI is an additional benefit of PII membership.  Dues paid to PII according to its dues schedule include GFI membership, as well as membership in the Printing Industries of America.

GFI members hold educational dinner meetings on a monthly basis and also host a golf outing in the summer and an annual holiday party in December. This special industry group promotes its members' diverse products and services to the trade through distribution of the GFI Directory and hosting of the GFI website at www.graphicfinishingindustries.org.

If you are a trade finisher, the GFI is YOUR association!  Join today by joining PII.

Graphic Arts Executives (GAE)

PII's Graphic Arts Executives, also known as the GAE Group, is composed of individuals who have extensive experience in the graphic arts industry.  GAE members are our industry's leaders. GAE members gather to share their opinions on a wide variety of topics.

GAE is a special interest group of  Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association.  No membership dues are required--just your interest and participation in the dinner discussions!  Your company does need to hold a membership in PII in order for you to take part in the activities of the GAE.

GAE meeting charges are based on the actual costs incurred and are shared equally by all attendees at that particular meeting. GAE membership meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of each month (unless announced otherwise) from September through May with the occasional special event during the summer months.  Meetings are usually held in the metro Chicago area at restaurants recommended by members of the GAE.

We invite your participation in this most senior level membership club.  Contact PII GAE Staff Liaison Joanne Rock at 312-580-3032 or to add your name to the GAE mail list.

Young Printing Executives (YPE)

Founded in 1955, the Printing Industry of IL/IN Association of Young Printing Executives (YPE) is a group of young men and women (under the age of 45) employed in graphic arts throughout metropolitan Chicago who meet once a month, September through May, to provide our members with an exchange of knowledge in the industry.  We tour graphic arts and related companies so that we can see new technology, understand other segments of our industry, etc.  We meet in the evening for these tours and then have dinner at a nearby restaurant. The price is determined beforehand and usually averages $35. Occasionally we have a guest speaker on a topic of interest related to business.  This, coupled along with the opportunity to form friendships within the graphic arts community is what current members find invaluable.  We encourage prospective members to join with us in improving the future of graphic arts and our careers through professional and personal development.

Our group is under the umbrella and endorsed by the Printing Industry of Illinois Association. YPE is pleased to offer participation to employees of PII member firms at no additional charge.  To add your name to the PII YPE mail list or for  more information, contact YPE Staff Liaison Joanne Rock at 312-580-3032 or .
